Aida Masliah has been making art since the first day she could hold a pencil.

Colored pencil became her medium and her language. Through layered color, shape, and form, she found a way to bring her innermost thoughts to life. She is particularly drawn to wordplay and puns, work that carries a point of view on life and asks the viewer to sit with it a little longer.

She is a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America, the San Diego Drawing Guild, and Foothills Gallery. For more than 15 years she participated at the Athenaeum Music and Arts Library, exhibiting annually in the Student Art Show. In 2016, her work was selected for a CPSA juried exhibition at the Strathmore Museum in Bethesda, MD, where she received a prize.

Since then, her work has been accepted into three CPSA national juried exhibitions, earning her CPSA Signature designation. She has shown at the Brand Library as part of Brand 53, the 53rd Annual National Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper, and shown in The Art of Now: Pushing Boundaries, presented by the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild.
